Water Music Festival at Valbiolo Lake

Music, Nature and Mountains in the Heart of the Alps

Summer in the mountains creates unforgettable memories.

Surrounded by alpine lakes, scenic hiking trails and breathtaking landscapes that change with the light throughout the day, the Water Music Festival is one of the most inspiring summer events between Trentino and Lombardy. From 3 July to 6 September 2026, Valbiolo Lake at Passo Tonale hosts concerts and outdoor events immersed in nature, set against the spectacular backdrop of the Presanella mountain range.

For guests staying at Chalet Alpenrose, the Water Music Festival is a wonderful opportunity to enrich a holiday filled with wellness, outdoor activities and relaxation in the heart of Val di Peio.

What is the Water Music Festival?

The Water Music Festival is a musical event dedicated to water, a symbol of life, nature and the mountains. Concerts take place in some of the most beautiful locations in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area, surrounded by alpine lakes and panoramic mountain scenery.

The festival aims to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of protecting this precious natural resource while offering visitors a unique cultural experience in the heart of the Alps.

Valbiolo Lake and the Floating Walkway

One of the festival's most iconic attractions is the floating walkway installed on Valbiolo Lake.

From 3 July to 6 September, visitors can literally walk on the water while enjoying spectacular views of alpine meadows and the peaks surrounding Passo Tonale.

Access to the floating walkway is free during the opening hours established by the organisers. Located at approximately 2,000 metres above sea level, Valbiolo Lake can be reached via a pleasant walking trail, making it an ideal destination for families, hikers and nature lovers.

Water Music Festival Programme 2026

Events already announced include:

• 26 July 2026 – Negrita, Valbiolo Lake

• 8 August 2026 – Joan Thiele, Valbiolo Lake

The programme may be subject to change. We recommend checking the official festival website for the latest updates before attending.

How Much Do Tickets Cost?

Many Water Music Festival events are free to attend.

Some special concerts require the purchase of an admission ticket. For example, the Negrita concert on 26 July is a ticketed event, while several other performances are free of charge.

For updated prices and availability, we recommend consulting the official festival channels.
